Payer returns to the Senators after playing the last two seasons with the Florida Panthers organization. The 27-year-old played in Ottawa and with the club's American Hockey League affiliate in Binghamton, N.Y., during the 2003-04 season.


Payer is a young guy with only a couple years in under his belt. He should help the sabres step up this season. The have been lacking young talent for a few years.
