QUOTE OF THE MOMENT

"I work to stay alive."

THOUGHTS FROM ADMIN

I am constantly amazed my how easily people become offended
for things done or even not to them. Whereas you may be acting in
the best interest of someone, yet that same person is seeing you
as an offender... 'out to get them' as it were. There are so many things
people can stop and think about being offended about, but I have
always found that such people have one thing in common... they are
not very busy doing things that matter. Now you may be wondering
how I arrived at that conclusion. Well here is a for instance... I am so
busy worry about my family, work and my progress that sometimes
people ask me "Aren't you offended?", and then I have to wonder what
they are talking about. Offended by who? What did they do? I did not
even notice. They had the time to see someone supposedly offending
me, but I paid no mind to it.

Some of you may be saying, "Well I am a busy person and I get offended
sometimes". Okay, so you get offended, but let me qualify what I said
above. You can be busy doing many things, but not necessarily things
that matter. For instance I could have lots of focus on getting the attention
of a friend only to have that same person choose to spend more time with
another friend, so I can CHOOSE to be offended. However, not so, what
was my real intention of having a friend notice me, was it self-gratification,
praise maybe, a lack of peace in my own life? It could be a number of things,
but one thing is for sure; self-mastered people now at peace with themselves
are rarely offended because they tend to deal with those things that MATTER.

Based on this you will see many new Threads in the Community about
being offended, look out for them.

Mousetrails: The First Holy War

A book written by our Member: Mousetrails and his review of the Bible. "Out of
curiosity I decided to research the Old Testament of the Bible for the number of
violent deaths. But in my line by line search for numbers I found how the Jews
acquired the gold they gave God, the unbelievable amount of blood sacrifice,
the horrible treatment of women, and THE BOOK OF THE WARS OF THE LORD."

QUOTE OF THE MOMENT

"Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability
to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable
for their apparent disinclination to do so."

THOUGHTS FROM ADMIN

I have been working steadily these past few weeks to the point
that my body just gave out the past few days and I had to take a
full rest today. Sometimes you really do not see how much you
push yourself in order to achieve something worthwhile.

Speaking about what is worthwhile... this world seems to have
its' ideas of ideal living upside down. On one hand you have those
who claim we must have our rights and freedom, while on the other
hand you have those that say we need to curtail freedoms in order
to provide equality, peace and security. You will find many of the
Hot Threads of the past few days discussing these things.

So it is the end of the month and do I really have to ask you to vote?
This should be routine people... take ten seconds to vote for your
choice of Member / Mod of the Month:

This was long overdo, but there were some links that needed to point to the right place, others removed, etc.

Vote Properly

Although I am getting votes, they are often discarded because Members do not:

1. Read what is required in each field
2. Vote for a Moderator in the Member field
3. Send it multiple times rather than once
