The lives of 65,000 people are at risk each year because Taupo airport is one of the most dangerous in the world, airline pilots say.

This New Zealand airport doesn't have even minimal air traffic control. No wonder it's dangerous.

Comments: Three people already died near Taupo Airport because there was a lack of proper controlled approach! That could have easily have been prevented if there was a control tower. Also we are talking about 11 chartered flights everyday not even Dunedin has that much.
