Good grief: Victimized employees don't get a break. As if being picked on wasn't bad enough, victims of workplace mistreatment may also be seen as bullies themselves, even if they've never engaged in such behavior. Adding insult to injury, victims may even be seen by supervisors as worse employees, despite exemplary performance. Bullies, on the other hand, may be given a pass if they are liked by their supervisor. Source 2r.
Usually, the people hiring you or set to supervise you expect total compliance and 100% robotic responses (Yes Sir!) because human traits such as taking a lunch break, having an opinion or asking questions can often seem like you are purposely slowing down the workflow. At least that's how it is in their mind. Then we wonder why robots and computers are slowly replacing humans on the job. In the future I can see robots doing most of everything because they never complain, never are late and don't need lunch breaks.
