I am hoping they get a LIFE sentence at least because they are charged with manslaughter so I am hoping they don't give them a 10 year prison term, we are talking about the death of 6 children here!

This was one of the most heinous, evil murders of 6 children that I've come across in the UK.
^ children from one family, burned to death in a house fire started by their parents, ..really sickening, but even more so when you find out that the parents Mairead Philpott (Mother) got just 17 years in total for the manslaughter of the 6 young children, and the Father, Mick Philpott was given a life sentence (to serve a minimum of 15 years. )I've got to ask- where is the justice in these paltry sentences for the justice of the lives of those young innocent children. I find it hard to understand why they didn't get years more than this!

Not only were they planning to put the blame for arson on someone else but they killed six of their own children in the process. I mean they like had to of been whacked out of their minds or just very dark inside. Why did they like even bother crying for the camera?

Hi play by post, yes, it was a massive charade in front of the cameras to hide their guilt. It has come out at trial that they didn't intend to kill the children, but they were to set fire to the house so that they could appear like heroes when they ran in to save the children... Make your own mind up on this, but a neighbor has said that when people ran in to try to rescue the kids, the kids Dad just stood there and watched, .. So the hero scenario doesn't quite pan out to me, but yes, I agree you have got to be quite sick or twisted to get yourself into that kind of scenario in the first place [sad]
