Should we be expecting any special event on the sixth of the sixth month 2006?

Only what some people dream up as to what they think is appropriate to the date. We may see some religious folks, and probably some non-religious or anti-religious folks, having some sort of meetings, marches, candle-light gatherings, etc., to bring attention to it. There may also be "wicked in the works" from folks who think something bad *needs* to happen on that date, and so will go about providing it.

I haven't seen any media blitz about it in advance, so I'm hoping it will be a relatively quiet, normal day.

The only thing that I know is that the movie: "Omen" is to premier on that day because it is the 06/06/06. You have to admit that it was creative. As far as nut cases taking things too seriously we will have to look out for reports indeed, but you are in the right place to hear about them FarSeer - California (no pun intended).

Yes, California ~ the land of Fruits and Nuts. I'm confident that if anything at all comes out of 06/06/06 it will happen here. I didn't know about the new "Omen" movie coming out that day ~ nice marketing tactic.

I am hoping that no group of religious 'fruit cases' uses this date as an ideal time to heap evil upon the world., there is far too much evil on the planet already.
The movie omen being released on this date is very creative, and will no doubt bring far more interest than having released it at any other time.

I sadly think that someone somewhere will use this date to be left in everyones memory, I hope I am proved wrong though..

Ahhh. California. Actually all the nuts are in Los Angeles and the fruits stay pretty close to San Francisco. Would that on 6-6-06 the San Andreas fault would open and everything west of it would slide out to sea about 20 miles. But 6-6-06 will more than likely be like Bill Clintons 1-1-2001. The computers didn't dump after all. In fact nothing much happened except a bunch of news reporters were still trying to make hay because "nothing" happened on 1-1-2001.

We should definitely expect something weird - not cosmically, but something strange from some radical religous movement. If the book of revelations is correct, and 666 is actually the doom of all good and the sign of the beast, then perhaps Iron Maiden will sing us into a new world where the apocolypse and all other torment promised by the god of all creation will come to fruition.
