Wales

I love to visit Wales, not only does it have beautiful mountain scenery, but it has beautiful quiet sandy coves.

Has anybody else got a review of this area of Great Britain?

I have just returned from my vacation there, I feel fully 'recharged' now after the peacefulness of the area. We stayed in our caravan there, and my husband took his kayak, and went sea kayaking with a fishing rod. He then barbequed the Mackerel that he caught, it was so tasty!

There is a small bay there that we visited called Trefor, and it is hidden away down a winding lane, but when you get to the little beach there, the view across the bay is stunning.

There is also the commercialized side of Wales if that is your preference, such as Rhyl with it's amusement arcades and fun fair, and towyn with it's huge outdoor market and car boot sales.

The castles are definitely the biggest hit with my kids though, they just loved to see different castles and ruins from hundreds of years ago, in my opinion you can't go far wrong there.

Wales, ladies and gentlemen, is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Those of you who especially like Medieval Lore would love it. I wish I could live there. If you want a place that can bring you peace and lots of eye candy then visit Wales!

Wales Reviews Consumer & Travel Family Culture

I am dreaming of the mountains of my home,
Of the mountains where in childhood I would roam,
I have dwelt neath southern skies,
Where the summer never dies.
But my heart is in the mountains of my home.
Trad.

Need I say more?
