Gospel Singer Fred Hammond Almost Aborted Before He Could Sing

A powerful video is popping up on Facebook pages across our country. It's an interview with well-know gospel artist Fred Hammond. He's on fellow artist Donnie McClurklin's radio show sharing a chilling story.

It's the true story of his mother's attempted abortion with him. That's right. Fred Hammond was almost aborted. His mother waited her whole life before telling him the truth behind his birth. She literally told him on her dying bed.

Fred's story moved my heart for a number of reasons. First off, it's a witness of Gods divine protection and His power over death. Secondly, it ministers to me personally because I love Fred Hammond's music. His songs have gotten me through some of the most painful moments of my life. I"ve wept, danced, and shouted along with his praise and worship.

He has written some of my all-time favorite gospel songs. I know millions of others feel the same way I do. I couldn't imagine the gospel music industry, let alone the world without this powerful voice. Ref. Source 1
