The fighting style in Japan is very different from the typical match-ups you see in the UFC MMA octagon setting. Maybe I'm too used to the commercial aspects of the UFC to see the traditional fighting rules but this competition did not have the exciting element that you see in the UFC. For one thing the rules are more restrictive and they use a boxing like ring to keep the fighters inside.
