Rather than write out Post after Post about how to play Chess I will leave it up to Wikipedia (See here) to do the work for me as they have visual examples there, BUT I will still leave this Thread open to anyone who may have questions about how to play Chess or the individual moves of the pieces.

If you are new to Chess but know only the basics you may wish to try playing against the Computer BEFORE you start engaging Players. This is especially true if you want to maintain a good score initally.
