Crews searching for two mountain climbers missing on one of Alaska's most difficult peaks spotted a torn backpack in an avalanche debris field and are concerned the women have been without food and fuel for over a week.

I hope they can find these two climbers, alive and well. However, with the conditions in that area, and having been lost for a week, the chances are indeed slim.

I do hope they find them, although I doubt at this point it will be alive. What a tragic way to die! I feel for their families.

Dead Are

Although weak, once they have water you will be surprised that people can survive this long and even still be mobile. The big problems are wildlife and sleeping at night (you can stay warm by moving). If they are alive then I hope they were intuitive enough to leave a trail.
