Senator: Banning Abortions After Five Months a Waste of Time, Not Worthy of Debate

Sen. Patty Murray was one of three pro-abortion members of the U.S. Senate today to take to the Senate floor to condemn a new bill that bans abortions after five months of pregnancy. Murrary, a Washington Democrat, claims the bill is a waste of time and not worthy of debate.

"The American people have spoken loudly, that they want us to focus on jobs and the economy, and they don't want Congress to keep treading on their rights to access to health care," Murray said.
