Of course, this is the wrong type of determination that one should have. Determination should not be used to undermine anyone else, which is the only goal that a rumor will accomplish.

I don't agree that one should be determined in spreading a rumor. This is a good reminder that determination can be both a good quality, and a bad one, depending on the means it is used for.

I agree with Valla, determination can be used for good or bad. In good things, determination is what get us to do what we want and saw it as impossible in the past. Not given up should be the constant reminder in our lives.
