Pet Commercials

Humans can be very attached to a creature they call a 'pet'. For this reason, commercials are geared to get at your soft side, some pet ads can make you feel like you should be more concerned and / or doing more, do you feel that way?

Commercials Pet

I love the Tidy Cats commercial where the cat is having a party with all his friends. He's not worried about his owners finding out because they use Tidy Cat litter for multiple cats. Now while I think it's very cute I rarely use the product, I buy whatever is on sale. I like the Friskey's commercials too, the cats always seem to be so happy, it makes me smile.

My favorite is the K9 Advantix commercial where a cuddly little puppy is singing. He is out camping and was singing his letter to his parents about how fleas and mosquitos are bugging him and he was thanking them for sending him a package with K9 Advantix in it. The puppy and the voice are perfect match. It is sooooooo cute!!!

Pet commercials can be amusing but I have never made an impulse buy because of one that I saw. I would be more inclined to make an impulse buy at the pet store if I saw something that caught my eye. The commercial that comes to mind for me is one for a puppy chow where the owner throws a stick and the puppy comes back with a huge tree. The owner says "It must be the puppy chow!"

Missed something on my first posting which is the main thing in the discussion. I meant to say that pet commercials, even if they are cute doesn't really influence my choice of pet product. I usually get the product with the best deal.

Pet Commercials

I don't let commercials for pet foods or pet care sway me one or another to buy one of their products. I admit that the commercials are very cleverly aimed at pet lovers to dash out and buy, but I tend to stick with brands that I am used to, and that I know my animals like.

On the other hand, I am a real sucker for the commercials asking for donations for abandoned or mistreated animals, and I normally send in a donation for the 'needy' animals.
