Melancholia
What is your review for the entertainment value of the movie called, "Melancholia"?
Melancholia (Hover)
Justine (Kirsten Dunst) and Michael (Alexander Skarsgård) are celebrating their marriage at a sumptuous party in the home of her sister (Charlotte Gainsbourg) and brother-in-law (Kiefer Sutherland). Two sisters find their already strained relationship challenged as a mysterious new planet threatens to collide into the Earth.
Mellocholia was a weird movie. Its full with drama but you have to remember its only science fiction. The weirdest part was how it started, I couldn't figure out if something was wrong with the cinema projector or if that was how the director intended the slow moving characters to play out. I also didn't understand the wedding, was it real? Why did she send the groom packing?
Melancholia was as weird as it gets for science fiction films. There are loads of questions too that don't get answered. The main character said she knows stuff but she doesn't say how she knows the stuff she does.
