VANCOUVER, British Columbia - The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced the construction of a new temple in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It will be the seventh temple for the Church in Canada and will serve Church members throughout British Columbia. As of December 2005, Canada was home to more than 172,000 Church members and 479 congregations.

I thought they would have more members in Canada actually. Out of a population of 33 million, 180,000 are members. The Church has announced the dates for the Vancouver British Columbia temple open house.:

The public will be invited to tour the new temple during the open house, which will run from April 9 to April 24 of next year. The open house will be followed by three dedicatory sessions.
Once the temple is formally dedicated, it will be open to members of the Church who are actively engaged in the faith.
The Vancouver temple was first announced by President Gordon B. Hinckley in May of 2006. The temple's groundbreaking took place in August of 2007. Once completed, it will be the Church's 131st operating temple and the seventh in Canada...
