I for one think that this is really lovely. I don't think it would last very long with my daughter, but it would make any little girl feel special, and enhance their bedroom to no end.
It's very 'girly', which I think is important for little girls, because most grow up and never want to have anything more to do with things 'pink' , so it's a special and magical time for them.
DianeC, you are a smart parent, and know what I am talking about. Here is an example of another one that can be used.
This thing costs only US$3,000.00 if you want it, of course I can build it for about 5% of that, but we won't get into that. See the details: https://www.mymoondrops.com/kids/tw_emily_bed.html

Fantasy Bed (Hover)
That's a lovely bed that any child would be delighted in having!
I've just had a look at their web site, and they also do this bed in a shorter version, which would probably be very appealing for anyone with a smaller sized bedroom.
What I like about this bed is not only does it have storage and book case, but it's not too high off the floor either...just in case of anyone going 'bump in the night'.
I like their castles and towers as well. They are based in the UK so that is right in your 'area'. However, if you have a keen sense of building you can recreate many of these things shown with less than quarter of the costs they sell it for, but it will take some creativity and art brain on your part.
