Do they just dress up like that or are they considered Models?

A very interesting question, which I am sure will have more than one answer to it .

In my opinion, as a person who believes in own gender dressing, as in men wearing men's clothes and women wearing women's clothes, Drag Queens to me are not models, but men who enjoy the scene of dressing up as women, and parading their looks in front of other like thinking people.

On the other hand, if you were a cross- dressing transvestite, in their eyes, the Drag Queen scene is very much about, dressing up, modelling, parading and prancing around in front of an audience, very much like the equivalent to our model scene.

They also gain a lot of respect from other transvestites, with who they are very popular.

No, I would not considered them models, female or male. Since they dress as women and are not women I could not say they are female models, the same in the case of male modeling.

I would not consider them models. I think a lot of them think they are nice looking and model quality but I personally do not think they are that nice looking.

I know there is a huge following of people who dress in drag and that they have their own little modeling contest. I just say to them, "To each their own."

I feel anyone can be a model. Who's to say you can't anyway? If the photographer wants to pay you for a particular pose then you're a model. Maybe he has a need for a drag queen shot I can't see why they shouldn't be taken as models that's just being narrow minded.

Modeling has little to do with moral values just if you can achieve the look they need. I think it is disgraceful that the person was eliminated from the competition. If you are having a look alike competition why should it matter if you are gay straight male or female it is just about looking like someone. Seem to me there wee some ladies that were scared they could not do the imitation as well as the person refused.
