Does the typical stage magician also dabble in Paganism or Witchcraft also?

I think that every magician would have to be judged on an individual basis. Magicians today are just slight of hand artists, not using real magic. But obviously someone could be a pagan and a magician, but the connection is not exclusive, that is to say that all magicians are pagans because they are magicians. They use stage tricks and slight of hand to fool your eyes into thinking your seeing something your not. Now that may not be the case for David Blaine when he levitates on the sidewalk, but who really knows right?

Just because one uses magic does not make them a pagan. There are many types of magics. Here are some examples; Illusion, voodoo, wicca, paganism, druidic, tantric, etc..

I concur, glyph.

This question is like saying, "Just because you play with holy water, does that mean you are a catholic?"

Many pagans do practice magic, but then, under my definition of magic - the manipulation of unseen forces to provide a desired affect - anyone that prays to God for a declared affect, is practicing magic. They simply use a different medium.

My pastor is a stage magician and he finds a way to incorporate the Word of God into it, so no, magicians are not necessarily pagans.

There are probably some magicians, but this doesn't necessarily mean that they all do!

Personally, I can't see that there is anything wrong with people performing magic tricks, maybe years ago there may have been some stigma attached to it, but a lot of churches these days wouldn't see it as a threat (in my opinion)
