What is the Difference Between A Science & An Art?

I sees some people calling a topic of study a 'Science' while others refer to it as an 'Art', how do I know the difference?

Art and Science Between Difference The What

Science becomes art when you exceed the boundaries of set rules or explicit instructions and run on instinct. My own definition, but I like it. This is much more evident in areas of science that have not yet been fully discovered like string theory. Creating the logical conclusions that don't exist is an art form that requires the ability to thing abstract thought and reason through facts that may or may not exist.

Another area this is present is in sports. There are specific proven methods of ways to do things that can be done better or even to perfection that turn the science of it into an art form. Anyone can follow a set of rules, it takes an artist to make that object or action artful and graceful.

Comments: Difference between Science and Art is the difference in Method. Every creation has three parts,
1. Input
2. Process
3. Output

Art: If you can use different process to create a thing (Output) using same Input that is Art.
Science: If you can use standard process to create a thing (Output) using same Input is Science.

Examples:

Art:

Input : A paper, Jar of Red Paint, Jar of Blue Pain, Jar of Green Paint and a brush.
Output : An fine art of Rocky Mountain
Process: Each person can use different mix and different way to paint Rocky Mountain.

Input : 4 Tires, Steel, Engine, etc.
Output : A Car
Process : Each person can use his own creative idea to make a functional car - looks science but involved with art.

Science:
Input : One Gallon of Oxygen, Two Gallon of Hydrogen, and a pressurized chamber.
Output: Three gallon of pure Water
Process: Every person should follow same procedures otherwise, water cannot be created.

Input: A liter of Gum, A Plastic Strip and a knife
Output: Bumper Sticker
Process: Every steps has to be exact exactly matched, such as temp, thickness, strength of plastic, time to peel off etc to make a bumper sticker, looks like art but it is involved with science.

So difference between Science and Art is how we do things to create new objects. If the process has to be precisely followed then it is Science, if the process can be altered or you can do in your own ways to create same output then it is art.

This is what I think. Let me know any comments and suggestions [Email Removed], Edmonton Canada.

Comments: art and science are two things which exist together in a PROCESS... Simply saying "An extension of an art is a science and the extension of a science is the truth"

Art and Science Between Difference The What

Seem pretty simple for me. Art is an expression of the state of an individuals mind, emotional state or perception of the world around they as only they can see it.

Science is a embodiment of trying to explain the world around us in precise definitions that must hold true to all and can not very. The facts must also be provable and repeatable by all.

Title: science and art

Comments: By my point of view it is an art that is use to put the science practically. Example: as an agronomist when we study the principal of agronomy seed rate, sowing time, fertilizer, variety etc. It is an art to apply these principals in field to get maximum yield.
