Title: Freedom of the press
Comments: I am in total disagreement with Mr. Dillian Johnson's public statement especially when he says that the recent articles in the Express concerning the Chief Justice were malicious. The local press now appears to be the only sensible, honest civil bastion of our society left as those granted and entrusted with the power to uphold law and order are more often than ever appear to be involved in some sort of local corruption scandal. The media must maintain its freedom by continuing to report anything they consider wrong in our nation thus the report the situation in respect of the Chief Justice is well within the boundaries of what appears to be an underhand maneuver related to the aspects of corruption which needs investigation and if proven subjected to the necessary retribution. Calling the articles in the Express malicious is ridiculous, to say the least. There is something called freedom of the press which Mr. Johnson should well remember. We cannot stand by and let those in authority do whatever they please to do, without some form of explanation or clarification for any of their suspected illegal actions. The situation here with regards to corruption in high places is bad enough without those associated with the justice system jumping on the bandwagon of suspected and alleged criminality or getting involved in internal political matters that lead to suspicion.
