The controversial Muslim cleric from Britain who was due to speak in Toronto this weekend will not fly into Canada, but will instead appear by video link.

If he is controversial he is probably worried for his life being in such an open public place. I know that in this day and age being controversial can get you in a lot of hot water. Being Muslim means that you are even more of a target for racism and hate, especially if you are controversial. Its a smart move on his part to understand the situation and take appropriate measures to ensure his own safety.
