TV6 featured a news report on the flooding in the Oropune Gardens HDC area where people had to scamper for 'higher' ground as flood waters came through their homes. One distraught mother had only recently moved in and was caught by surprise with the amount of flood waters around the HDC buildings.

According to TV6 News the residence at Oropune Gardens Housing Development complained that despite the flooding they cannot do nothing to stop the water from coming in because HDC will not allow them to make alterations. The complaints were launched at Minister Prakash Ramaghar at a town meeting in Tunapuna yesterday.
