NEW YORK - It took two quiet weekends out of a race car for Kurt Busch to realize he needed an attitude adjustment. Now that he's accepted it, NASCAR's most polarizing driver has an even bigger challenge ahead of him: Convincing people he can change.

Good luck, most of us 'non-nascar' fans have only seen him be a jerk on TV. People don't really change, they just learn to suppress the bad in them in my opinion. He is a great racer, but he doesn't know how to behave in public or have a sportsman like attitude on the track.

Kurt Busch Reviews Consumer & Travel Family Culture

I would have to disagree. Tony Stewart is an example of a driver I think has genuinely changed over the years. Two years ago he was an extreme hot head, a jerk on and off the track. He was fined by his own sponsors. Now he seems more at peace with himself and the sport and as much as I hate to admit it (because I'm a Jeff Gordon fan), he deserved the championship. He showed great sportsmanship throughout the year, even if he didn't run well. I think people can change, if they want to bad enough.

I hate to butt in, but I personally think those 2 drivers were forced by Nascar to behave or move out. I also miss the way they behaved, at least they had there own personallities. I think both are Nascar puppets, and not cause I'm a Gordon fan either.
Where is the modern day bad guy in Nascar? Harvick, Stewart, Biffle? Nope, when Nascar decides they want one they will pick someone, or they will just let one of the drivers be themselves ( a badboy).
I miss the Dale Earnhardt and Waltrip fights, the Busch and Spencer duals, even the Rusty and Gordon battles. You wont be seeing that anymore thanks to Nascar.
Sorry, just my 2 cents wort.
