Smokey Robinson
WHEN SMOKEY SINGS, THE AUDIENCE MELTS
Smokey Robinson was cruising through the hits he wrote for his Miracles, the Temptations and other Motown stars -- the audience enthusiastically singing along to "Going to a Go-Go," "Ooo Baby Baby" and "My Girl" -- and then a remarkable transformation took place during his first Carnegie Hall concert in more than 30 years.

Smokey Robinson is one of the most well known singers out of mo-town in the world. I remember hearing his songs on oldies all the time growing up. (sorry to those of you who grew up with oldies) But he did seem to have a way with the ladies. He is listed as one of the all time greatest love song singers, right up there with Barry White and Luther Vandross.
