Hello. My usual interest is in forecasting such as produced by an intelligence analyst. But I'll take it any way I can get it! Prescience is good, too. What I care about is accuracy.

Interesting. And where do you come by your intelligence analysts? Is there a website you frequent, or do you have military friends who keep you in the know? Oh, wait, are you still in the military?

We have an International News board with several discussions ongoing about the events in the Middle East and elsewhere that you may be interested in joining. That would be Here. We also have a Military Tactics board Here, and a Science and Unusual board, a Survival board... etc etc. I'm sure you can find your way around by now. The people I follow are all on the Internet. Good example is Joel Skousen (.com), for long-term stuff. His World Affairs Brief (.com) is good for in-depth current events.

My military friends were all field people, not the sort privy to strategic sorts of things.

I haven't been in the military for a long time.

I looked a little at the International News board.
