Co-pilot 'accelerated descent'

Germanwings co-pilot Andreas Lubitz practiced putting his aircraft into a controlled descent on a flight that preceded the jetliner crash in March, a report by French investigators says.

Flight 9525 crashed into the French Alps on March 24 with 144 passengers and six crew members aboard.

Investigators have focused on the 27-year-old co-pilot, who is suspected of locking the pilot out of the cockpit and deliberately crashing the plane. Ref. CNN
