Does Islam Produce Terrorists?
In the news you read and hear a lot about extremest Islamist groups planning or carrying out attacks on civilians. What about Islam gives them the 'reason' / 'excuse' to do this? Is it certain verses? Is it the teachings?

Note: There are many Threads about terrorism and Islam, this one deals specifically with what verses or teachings are used by the terrorists to justify their acts. This Thread is NOT to Discuss the morals of their actions, but their reasoning behind it.

I know I will get fire from this comment, but the fact is that no other religion routinely spits out terrorists like Islam does. The Koran is full of violence, but so is the old testament. Both books are full of violence against people who don't worship their god, but only one of them continually has extremists willing to kill for their beliefs. There is a great majority of muslims that don't take the Koran literally and go kill everyone who doesn't believe in their god (infidels). But the literalists are the ones to be afraid of, because their reward is from god and they have no fear of dying. Its that fundamentalists/literalist belief system that is the cause of muslim terrorists.
