A general Thread about the state Flag of USA. What do you like / not like about the USA Flag? Do you feel the Flag of USA best represnts the citizenry?

[..] I think the US flag is pretty spectacular. I mean, there is a star for every state on a field of blue that encompasses them all. That means 50 are one. Then, there are the 13 stripes for the original colonies that banded together in common cause to secure the independence we enjoy.
More than that, there have been many people who died defending what that flag represents. Starting with the Revolution and going through today. But especially during the Civil War, when Americans on both sides died fighting for a cause in which they believed and which bound us more tightly and brought us a step closer to the promise for which we still strive.
