Flag Guinea-Bissau

The flag of Guinea-Bissau was adopted in September 24, 1973. The black star represents freedom and the major ethnic group of the African people and the red stripe represents the blood sacrificed for independence. The yellow represents the sun and labor and the green stands for the lush vegetation and agriculture.
