The flag of Kenya was adopted in December 12, 1963. The black color represents the major ethnic group of the African people, red as struggle for independence, green as the agriculture and natural resources. White signifies peace and unity and emblem in the middle of the flag symbolizes the fight for freedom and the preparedness to defend it.
