Flag Malaysia

The Malaysian flag was adopted in September 16, 1963. The 14 stripes and points of the star represent the 13 member states of the Malaysian federation and the Federal District of Kuala Lumpur. The crescent along with the star represents Islam as the major religion in the country and the blue in the background links to the union jack of Great Britain back in history.
