The Zimbabwean flag was adopted in April 18, 1980. The bird on the left represents history and culture of the country, the red star in the back of it represents socialism, white for peace, green for agriculture, yellow for mineral wealth, red for the bloodshed for independence and black for the ethnic majority of this nation.
