I am wondering if the violence is actually getting worse or if the violence is just being covered more because of media availability. But the perception is obviously that the violence is escalating at an enormous rate. But why is it so specifically against women? There doesn't seem to be a clear reason for this. Nothing major has changed in the way of laws. I think that the law needs to buck up and lay the hammer down and do what they are supposed to do and protect people. Hire more police, keep them on the streets, and start through the book at offenders.
