One device I have seen is a Radio Sweeper. It is a radio receiver with a speaker that continually sweeps the radio signals in the atmosphere. So for example it records the sound made by sweeping the frequency from 80 to 120 Mhz. The sound you hear can give a perception of paranormal activity, noises, voices and vibration etc. I don't know if it works but you could give it a try.

That radio sweeper sounds complicated I was thinking that the most simple thing I've seen these paranormal people use is a stick with legs on the end like you would use to make a wish with.
