Clara is right on the money, the people who have the biggest problem are indeed those that stand and stare. It's certainly not the woman feeding her kid that's got a problem.
From another direction though, we were out recently when the baby decided it was dinner time & my wife said that we'd best sit at the next bench to give him a feed. I didn't realise it till she took out the babies bottle & they both walked away but, we had a small audience waiting for a show. I wonder if they would have complained afterwards if she had done the deed the traditional way?

One of the things that always caught my attention are those who think women should breastfeed in the bathroom if there is no nursing room available. I wonder do they eat their dinner in the toilet? Why should a baby then eat his there?

Comments: The more so called "techno-civilized" we become the less tolerable people are towards this NATURAL part of life. Sorry for being a mother, sorry for feeding my baby... Sorry for the very life essence itself.
I hear you loud and clear Momoffour, it's disgusting how society accepts n-dity on television, sex and other things but a woman feeding her baby in public is considered inappropriate. Let me tell you, here in the US we're really messed up.
Creepy or natural? Time Mag cover shows mom breastfeeding 3 year old son
Not sure how this topic is really newsworthy given everything going on in the world today, but Time magazine's cover features a mom breastfeeding her 3 year old son. He looks more like he's 8 because he's pretty tall -- so which is it: creepy or natural? Ref. Source 2
Breast Feeding Offensive? (Hover)
Oh come on, we're living in the 21st century aren't we? Lets have debates on Climate change or obesity in our kids. This is really a no brainer! Its a necessity so lets just leave breastfeeding mothers alone!
