Two men captured at a gated apartment complex were responsible for a string of apparently random late-night killings that have terrorized residents across this sprawling city for months, police in Phoenix said on Friday.

Killings Serial Phoenix
Killing just for the sake of killing, killing out of compulsion, it just saddens me that there are people like this out there. No purpose to the killing, no rhyme or reason, no causation for the grieving, they just wanted to kill. I'm glad they were caught, but unfortunately, not in time to save those left in their wake. Such a shame and tragedy, months long killing spree, for what, to what ends?
