Clinics Use Tissue From Babies Killed in Abortions for Cosmetic Injections
London, England (LifeNews.com) -- Women from around the world are traveling to clinics in various locations that are now offering face lifts and cosmetic surgery using tissue from babies who have been killed by abortions. Pro-life advocates are strongly condemning the practice and saying the taking of human life is never warranted -- especially for such a self-serving purpose. Women like Susan Barrington, a 52-year-old housewife from England, are heading to places such as Barbados, the Dominican Republic, Moscow and Rotterdam to obtain the treatments.

Again, if the offence is committed, then why not have something good become of it? What this article doesn't say is that the same skin is used for skin graphs for burn victims as well. The baby is already aborted, why not use its skin, the baby doesn't care. And the benefits for those living are phenomenal from something as silly as a face lift, to graphing new skin onto a burn victim. I think it is a wonderful idea to use it. This isn't an issue about whether abortion is should be legal, its about what should be done with the remains of a corpse.
If that really were the issue, why aren't they using other corpses?
Isn't it a bit morbid, to pay to have dead babies' skin grafted on, in the name of beauty? How horrible! I can only pray that I'll never be that ugly.
What I found especially gruesome and offensive, was this paragraph:
"To obtain the cells, women in underdeveloped nations are paid up to $200 dollars to carry a baby up to the optimum eight to 12 week period when the fetuses are "harvested" for their stem cells which are then sold to exclusive cosmetic clinics."
They're farming humans. How can that not be wrong?
This is not from babies "already killed" but specifically grown for the purpose of cosmetic injections. That's just sick. They aren't using just the skin, but the stem cells and even embryonic cells.

"This fad illustrates the extremes to which embryonic stem cell use can lead," CWA senior fellow, Dr. Janice Shaw Crouse, said. "It is hard to believe that such atrocities are going on today." "The ethical and moral ramifications of such treatments are staggering; the experimental aspects are equally troubling," Crouse explained. "Not only is the origin of the fetuses immoral and inhumane; there are medical problems and complications associated with the injections," Crouse concluded. "This savage and repulsive "brave new world" of human sacrifices in the quest for eternal youth is a prime example of the end results when all moral boundaries are destroyed." |
What I find really sick, is the fact that US $200 is more than my monthly salary has been, at times... which is where the "farming" aspect comes into play.
It's easy for people to justify this by saying, "they're not impregnating the women, just paying them to keep 'em in long enough to be useful..."
But by paying what here in the Caribbean would be a good enough cash incentive, it encourages women to do this as a "job".
Completely disgusting.
I understand Kon's points but this goes beyond of what to do with a corpse...
