Moldova Paganism
What is Moldova Paganism like, how do they worship? What are some characteristics of Pagans from Moldova? Does Moldova Paganism stand out or is considered a taboo subject?

Title: Paganism in Moldova
Comments: Hello. To answer your question - there are no institutionalized pagan groups in the Republic of Moldova at this time. There have been a few Satan-worshiping groups over the years, but they were all underground and one-time (Mostly consisting of 'rebellious' teens). Other than that, there are self-professed Rastafarian's, Slav-pagans, and Wiccan's, but they're mostly singular individuals, often hobbyists, and almost always teens or young adults.
93% of the population are Orthodox Christians, and there are notable minorities of Catholics, Baptists, other Christian-related groups (7th Day Adventists, Mormons, whatever), Muslims, Baha'I, and Jews.
Speaking of national pagan practices and beliefs, some of the ancient gods are known, but few (If any) attempted to recreate the belief system as there is little-to-no information on them. Zalmoxianism has emerged in Romania in the 1990's, but it has not yet been imported, for different reasons that I will not discuss.
Still, some friends of mine were talking about registering some kind of pagan sect (The legislation requires that sects be registered, otherwise, they are forbidden from propagating their ideas), but as yet, it's just talk. Sorry for not providing you with a better answer.
