Staff Parties

Does your employer allow Staff Parties? If so, what do you think is the underlying purpose for him/her to do so: business productivity or simply pleasure?

Parties Staff

Our company has company parties, but never staff parties. My direct boss does not believe in having staff parties, or mixing business with pleasure in an atmosphere in which something can happen that shouldn't happen. I don't completely disagree with him, but I generally think that if you don't involve alcohol, then adults will make the right decision unless they are already going to make the bad decision.
