COUNTRY STAR ACCUSED OF ILLEGALLY KILLING TAME BEAR
Troy Lee Gentry, of the country singing duo Montgomery Gentry, has been accused of killing a tame black bear that federal officials say he tagged as killed in the wild.

The accusations are that he purchased a bear in a cage, shot it with a bow and arrow and killed it while in the cage. He then edited the video tape to appear like he killed it in a fair chase hunt. He then tagged it with a proper hunting license tag for a wild bear kill. The person who supposedly sold him the bear is also being charged.
While I really despise an act like that taking place, I think they will have a hard time proving it. If the video tape shows him doing it during the fair chase, the tag was legal, and the person who supposedly sold him the bear isn't confessing, and he isn't, then I would really like to see what their evidence is. But on the other hand, I doubt they would indict him if they didn't have enough evidence to put him on trial.
