Georgia depends on a lot of mashrutkas (Minibuses), cars, railways and aircraft carriers for quick drops. Obviously a place such as Tbilisi will be blooming with lots of public transport but some isolated or rural areas such as Vardzia might not have what you are looking for. It is recommended that you hire a driver that will take you around for a day.
