Wow, this story is really amazing. Its essentially a legend that describes his condition perfectly, and that is rare. Turns out this legend wasn't a legend after all! I think that when old mysteries get solved, it very cool. I am going to read his history and find out what happened. It sounds like they thought he was odd because he couldn't talk, so they cut off his legs and threw him in the ocean! How he survived is beyond me.
