This is one of the scary things about living in the suburbs where there is a lof of trees. Of course the fire can still spread even if you aren't near a forest because it goes from roof to roof if the houses are close together but its less likely.

Fairview, Birdseye residents allowed to return home
By Wednesday afternoon, residents were allowed back into their homes and all of U.S. Highway 89 was reopened while helicopters continued to put out hot spots. What they found when they returned home was blackened landscape that amazingly circled barns, homes and other structures. Ref. Source 3
Quail Fire burns in hills above Alpine, evacuations ordered
ALPINE - A fast-moving fire was threatening homes in Alpine Tuesday.
Smoke could be seen rising above the mountain in Draper and in southern Utah County Tuesday afternoon.
A couple of homes appeared to be threatened about 3 p.m., but firefighters were working hard to keep the flames away from those houses. Ref. Source 5
