It's been shocking following the case, and also the background of the religion.
I cannot get over the fact of so many young teenage men just cast out of their homes and families, on the say so of the religion's leader... Surely that's very wrong?

If Warren Jeffs were ever to be released from prison would he become a prophet again for the FLDS? I remember once seeing a news report about him 'resigning' from prison, but was it official?

Warren Jeffs Beliefs Religious General

He resigned as President but I don't think as a Prophet. As far as I know, they still see him as a Prophet.

Thanks for that JB.
As far as I could tell, they were still revering him as prophet, and in the programme that I watched, although in prison...whatever he said was 'taken as gospel'.

It seems to me that he is still ruling the people with an iron fist.

In a petition and a supplemental memorandum filed in 3rd District Court to quash the extradition warrant, Jeffs' attorneys noted that based on the Supreme Court's ruling, he was now entitled to a speedy trial, bail and a host of other protections that were being violated and "ignored" by Utah and Texas.
