Proper security can be used over the internet to protect patient data. It seems like the biggest complaint is not the overseas reading of X-rays, but the worker shortage in the radiologist departments in the country. They are directing their anger towards the wrong place. Data of patients including radiology pictures are transferred over the internet safely every day.
