When giving children medication for hyperactivity should they be told what it is for or describe it like 'special candy'?

I suppose it all depends on your kid's ability to understand what a medication is. What I personally tell my 6 years old son who has a limited comprehension of things is that the medication is for the brain, to make him even more smarter than he already is.
