Generally who makes better products: Europeans or North Americans?

ooh, call me a traitor, but I would say North Americans. The reason I say this is that Europe seem to be way behind their American equivalents, and always seem to be catching up, and personally I wouldn't touch any electrical product made in Europe that hasn't been made in the UK. At least with the UK there are certain safety standards that have to be adhered to, which aren't quite as high in other European countries... just my opinion of course
