Ultraviolet
Can Ultraviolet be considered a color?
No. Well, not in the traditional sense. Ultraviolet is essentially purple. I suppose you can name any color, like fluorescent green, and now its a color. But is that really a color? There is an argument that anything that is not a primary or root color, is not really a color. In other words, if it is an off shoot of another color, like ultraviolet is of purple, then it is not a separate color in and of itself, that it is simply another spectrum of an already defined color. I like the argument, but never have it because no one really seems to care if its a color.
