Vancouver police say three homeless men have been stabbed since early September in a series of unprovoked attacks in the downtown area.

Homeless Targeting

The homeless have always been easy targets for killers. The homeless often do not have the same roots as those with a house and family around. Its easier to get away with killing someone with no anchor, no way for people to notice they are missing. Often its harder to find out who someone is if they are homeless, which will slow down the search for who did it as well. Its sad to see homeless people taken advantage of like that.

Across 25 major cities surveyed by the U.S. Conference of mayors, 43 percent saw an increase in homelessness over the past year.
